Why is when a celebrity dies there is still an address in the celebrity address search?  I really do not understand. I do not mean jane wyman's either.  Some have passed away in this year or longer. It does say that the person is deceased but there is still an address.

There is an option to report that a celebrity is deceased. If you do that, it would help the entire community.

some celebs sign a ton of spare autographs that can be sent out. those that work for them try to get rid of any spares, so some people can write and still get a responce. there is also the fact that not every1 will hear of a certain celebs death and will probably ask for it on member's helping members, etc. so it is easier to just have the report deceased icon available.

They remain in the system, because not everyone in the world knows that a certain celebrity is deceased... If there's no address on the system that says the celebrity is deceased, then they will just keep requesting that the celebrity be added to the database so they can write.

I've seen about 6 people trying to write to people like Gene Kelly, and complaining that he's a bad signer! Yet he has been dead for over 10 years.

People try getting an address for Marvin Gay, who's been dead for 20 years.

Big%20smile I agree, Not everyone knows a certain person is dead and will look up an address and then they will be notified of the death, then it's up to them if they still want to write.

Of course it "can" be erased... It's just chosen not to erase it. For the reasons I already stated.
