My Dustin Hoffman autograph came with a letter that states quite plainly that the pic has been authentically signed by Dustin...so I don't think it's an autopen.

The Adam West TTm sigs I've seen tend to match my IP one exactly, so it may be hit or miss with him.

And you can add Christopher Lee to the STAMP list. :)

My Dustin Hoffman picture also came with that letter... Everyone gets the same letter and picture.. and trust me.. it is not hand-signed.

I havent seen any successes from him in a long time, so I couldnt say. Wouldnt be surprised if they were secretarial though.

Hoffman sends autopens. The letter he sends actually does not state its an authentic hand signed autograph. It states something along the lines of "It is with the greatest appreciation we enclose memorabilia for your collection".

Adam Wests are secretarials.

I've added Christopher Lee, can't believe I forgot about him!

Yeah it's a pity that he's sending stamps, etc... He's a fantastic actor, though I assume he gets tons of fanmail letters too.

So: either the letter lies, or you're wrong. Simple.

Not singling anyone out, but one thing I love about this hobby is that many people speak with authority, yet NOBODY really has the knowledge to which they lay claim. It's all opinion and best guess, 99% of the time.

Unless YOU are Dustin Hoffman or his personal secretary, I think I'll believe the signed picture and letter, since there is no proof telling me otherwise.

Please don't take this as hostile - it's simple truth and genuine feeling after years of autograph collecting.

I would have to agree with the others here. My Dustin Hoffman autograph appears to be an autopen. It's the exact same signature in the exact same place as every one I've seen.

If you think it's authentic, that's your personal opinion and no one is trying to take that away from you.

i don't have him, so i can't really say either way, but many people here seem to think it's autopenned so i'm just gonna meet the guy in person someday and get it by hand. 'cause i think that'll be even better than recieving anything in the post

How you can the easiest to know if it is secretarial or not?? What I know for now Angelina Jolie is the easiest to know if it is secretarial or not. But from the others celebrities is it very difficult! What do you think??

"All opinion and best guess"? LOL thats just not true. When it comes to autopens, it is possible to say with 100% accuracy.

First off, lets look at the letter Dustin sends. I have already stated that it says "we enclose memorabilia". It does NOT say hand signed autograph. You posted saying it says "autographed by Dustin", which is an outright LIE.

Now that that matter has been put to bed, lets move onto the actual "autograph".

If you do not send a photo, Dustin sends a black and white pic, which is autopenned, nearly always in the bottom left corner. (He used to send PPs, but not any more)

For 100% cast iron proof that he sends autopens, here are links to 12 TTM successes from him, all the "autographs" are 100% identical, therefore proving they are autopens. Notice the ink spots at the end of each part of the autograph, thats caused by the autopen stopping abruptly.
