I prefer personalized because it makes it more personal! Like they sort of know you because they wrote your name down. I know it's silly but that's just how I see it.

Yes I agree. But as far as celebrities that send secretarials, it is very disappointing. I would rather get a pre-print or an autopen.

I agree meagan, and I also agree summer. Its great that most celebs personalise now to cut down on selling on ebay and things, it just makes it all the better for true fans :D

I havent gotten any yet, but i dont think i would mind either way. I know that the celeb is going to forget about me 20 minutes after reading the letter, so i dont really care. |

well personalizing doesnt cut down the risk of it being sold, it can still be sold for a very good price.

I can only speak for myself and that is I prefer them not to be but since I keep all my stuff in the big picture it does not really matter. Ebay has made it alot harder to obtain autographs in person and I can see why celebs want to personalize the items. With all that said I don't mind the personalization but going back to the stated question I prefer just their name.
My kids will have to deal with what they want to do with all this stuff after I surface of the Earth.

I know celebs are busy, but how can some of them not even take 5 minutes for some of the people who got them where they are. You open the envelope, sign the pictures, and send it back. It takes 5 minutes

I like mine to be personalised and often ask in my letter for my photo to be personalised to me. I would never purchase an autograph personalised to someone else unless it was an autograph I really, really wanted.

i perfer either but most of the time i would rather it not be personalized. It just all depends on the person. I get pretty much all of my autographs and person and most of the time they wont personalized or dont have time so you cant be picky.

Yes I am always very happy when I received some personalized autograph from my really favourite star! But when I know that it is secretarial.....this star means less for me! Unfortunately.....but I think my really favourite stars are known for sending secretarials. Woow

Same here, people I respect and admire the most are popular on television and therefore use studiofanmail, which I find quite disappointing, although I do understand why they do it. |

I prefer personalized. But what I love more than that is when they personalize it and add a little more, such as a personal message or some funny comment.
