Hi everyone,
Please use this feature to help your fellow members get the addresses they need:
Soon someone will help you out too
 Each fulfilled request is worth points in the monthly contest too.
Have fun and enjoy!
P.S. "Flag bad request" should be used if:
1)
2) the name isn't a real celebrity
3) the request is blatant abuse or spam
4) any other common sense reason you may have. (feel free to ask here if you like.)

People must not be checking the database before submitting their requests.
Any ideas on how to address this?

Raven, you've been submitting a lot of addresses and that's great!
Hopefully this page will help member requests get fulfilled because it's more specific.
We still appreciate general address submissions though (outside of a request)

Most of the addresses have RTS.. Though I have seen some untested addresses on some that requests are made for. I think that we must just flag requests that have untested addresses on it.

I just added like 10 addresses, and then it told me I wasnt signed in. Can you make it so you have to sign in before you can add addresses? On the main page it says "Hi,Courtney", but I still have to sign in.

yep me too, and some people have sent multiple requests for the same celeb.

I don't think limiting address requests is a good idea. Often I am working from a list I have compiled. (I send letters in batches of sometimes 65) If you limit address requests then it would hinder a person's progress and frustrate them.

I also think that if one person requests an update, nobody else should be able to.. because you end up with tons of requests for the same celebrity, which is blocking the other ones from showing.

Maybe if once a request for an addy update is put in, it will show, "update requested" therefore others won't try to request tha it be updated. Hopefully that will cut down on the multiple requests and make it easier to look through the list.

These are great suggestions. I'll find a balanced solution based on your feedback.
Maybe flagging should be expanded in general... as well as for deceased celebs.

By the way, based on a suggestion by Raven, there's a new select menu at the top-right corner of Members Helping Members now.
You can filter the type of requests you want to see... ALL, Fulfilled Only, or Unfulfilled Only.

I really like that feature. I was curious about another feature...
Perhaps when someone requests an updated address, there could be a link to that person in the database. That way we know that an address already exists and we can directly click on it to see which addresses are listed.

Sounds good. The only caveat is that sometimes the name won't be linked even if the star is in the database.
If the request is made by clicking "Request an updated address for..." on the address details page, it will always be linked.
It should happen only a small % of the time but it's worth noting.

Isn't that what the "search" button next to the names on Members Helping Members is for? You immediately get taken to the possible celebs, and see their addresses.
Or am I confusing the question?

Ah, I see it now. Though it's only doing that with requests put in since it was added. When I go to older requests it's not there.
