This post is for all of our 2008 successes. Any successes prior to January 1, 2008 will go in the old Bragging Time thread.

I received a 5"x7" pre-print from David Duchovny yesterday. Took a little while but it finally arrived.

I find it interesting that others are getting larger photos than I am. My Judi Dench was 4"X6", and my David Duchovny was 5"x7".

Perhaps it is because it is being mailed to Canada, but then that shouldn't make a difference from England. Don't get me wrong, I am thrilled to get them, and to have a personalized photo from Dame Judi is wonderful. They are paying for everything, the photo, the envelope, and the postage, and that does add up, but I am curious as to why others got bigger photos . . . ?

Are they getting bigger photos from the same celebrities? Are they writing to the same addresses? My smaller photos are from Colin Firth, Tim Spall, Robbie Coltrain, and Tim Allen.

I recieved a black and white personalised photograph from Zoe Wanamaker this morning and I was thrilled! She is one of my favourite actresses and I did not expect to recieve a response so it was an amazing surprise. Big%20smile

** I also recieved a small photograph from Judi Dench, but I absolutely love it. I think it may depend on the envelopes or photographs the agencies have at the time. The size of the photograph doesn't matter to me, I am just thankful that the celebrity has taken the time to reply. Smile
I actually prefer the smaller ones, they leave more room in my album and therefore it leaves me with a positive feeling of more room for other autographs.

I just got home from a short trip and received a success from Piper Perabo. I sent the photo in November. She also included a short note that answered a question I had about something that was listed on her IMDb account.

Full size scans are on my site.

Carrie? I'm not sure we're talking about the same person. Piper played in Coyote Ugly. But maybe there was a new version of Carrie that I don't even know about.

Well, it looks like I got it mixed up with the wrong "Piper." The Piper that I am thinking about was Piper Laurie in the early version of "Carrie". I really messed that one up. Confused

However, I DO know that she was in "The Prestige". That's a great movie by the way.

Great success Meagan! Does she play Violet or something like that? I used to love that movie but I haven't seen it for a few years. Clap

Congratulations, Meagan! You're off to a great start for the year!

And so am I! I just received a personalized Doris Day, with a personalized letter. It was so fast, too!

Thanks! Congratulations to you too! I love my Doris Day autograph. I tried really hard a while back to find a classic Doris Day photo to send to her to sign, but I was unsuccessful.

Why is it that the older stars always seem to have a photo of them with their dogs. Betty white has one and i think bob barker has one too

Bob Barker, Betty White and Doris Day (as well as a few others) have devoted their time and resources to the cause of animal rights. They are all passionate about the inhumane way some animals are treated, and do all they can to call attention to it in the hope that some of us will listen. Not to donate money or time to their cause, (which I'm sure they hope we'll do) but to just treat the animals we are in contact with with a little more care and respect. They love their pets, and like children, they love to show pictures of them.

In reply to your questions. Yes I am referring to the same celebs. And yes they are sending to the same place.

I was looking through the mail results history---most people neglect to give details, like PP, or size, whether it's colour, etc. But of those that did, aubesport claimed to have gotten an 8x10 Duchovny, and both dakano, and kittnm, claim to have received a 5x7 Judi Dench.

Unless they are putting their successes under the wrong address . . . I have seen that happen time and again, where someone puts their email success under a mail address. It would seem most are getting the same as me, and that's okay.

I was just curious as to how it worked out that some got larger photos. Luck of the draw I guess ; )  I can always print out a photo of Dame Judi and mail it to her if I would like an 8x10 . . . come to think of it, that's a great idea!

Great photo of Doris Day Leroy38! I found some really beautiful pictures of her on the net and I printed them out. Now I just have to get them ready to send off.

I just requested autographs for Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, and Matt LeBlanc. They'll be PPs but that's okay, I guess. I'll let you know when they arrive.

I have my Scrubs cast photo all ready to go. I just need to go to the post office and have the envelope weighed, so that I can go online and calculate the return postage to Canada. I hope they get it, I'm not sure what's going on---if they are still waiting because of the writer's strike or not.

I printed out a really nice photo of the band Simple Plan, but it came out green, of all things! LOL! I need to get a new colour cartridge and try that again. I found a fanmail address for them and I am going to try it out.

I put the new address in the celebrity address area but I don't see it coming up when I open the page.

A new friend of mine on the net says she'll be able to get me a Lewis Black. She couldn't give me an address for him though. Sorry. She said that address in our database is the old one, but that even if you send to the new APA address that she seriously doubts they'll forward it to him.

I found that very interesting, as I always thought they did that.

Lewis Black? Is there any way your friends can get me one? He is my absolute favorite comedian. I can trade one if you want.
