Ok, I first wrote AJ Buckley on 4-17-08. I think i had sent the letter to the csi ny addy but i'm not positive. All ihad sent was a letter asking for a pic and a sase. When i hadn't heard from him by 12-18-08 I wrote again testing a new addy and sent two picutres as well.. i heard back from that realitavely quickly on 3-18-09.
Imagine my surprise when i got the sase back from my first request on 4-17-08 today, 5-30-09. Took over a year, but well worth the wait. Even got a birthday wish (which still got in the same month despite being a little late).

Today I recieved three SFM PPs, Right Said Fred 4x6 and signed t-shirt, John Travolta signed 8x10 x2 and two dvd inserts, Shannon Beach 8x10 x2, Anna Ternheim signed index card, and two things I purchased: a Brotherly Love signed script (with autographs with all of the main characters, including George Takai) and a Wheaties box signed by Joey, Matt, and Andy Lawrence.

I'm a firm believer that my wording definitely helps. I make sure to never ask for a picture/headshot/etc. I'm not sure if that honestly has anything to do with it, but that's the only thing I can think of ;)

I write decent length letters... NEVER more than a page. But I make it as sincere as possible and ALWAYS make sure to list something specific about the celebrity's work. Other than that, I don't know what to tell you.

As if a Fuzzy Zoeller TTM success wasn't enough for one day...
I just got back from the Cubs-Dodgers game tonight. The game wasn't great, but the pre-game was. Chicago jam band Umphrey's McGee (similar to Gvt Mule and Dave Matthews) sang God Bless America and the national anthem at the beginning of the game, and walked right by my seat to go up to their skybox. I talked to them, all swell guys, and got them all to sign my Cubs hat. Definitely one of my favorite in-person successes to date!  |

Just got the best success of the past two days, only possible exception being Umphrey's. I got an email back from the Vini "Mad Dog" Lopez, the original drummer for Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. He emailed me saying he'd "dig something up" and send it to me. Very excited for this one!

YES!!! I received my Kristen Chenowith response now. It's beautiful! I also received 2 signed pictures from the girl from Hairspray (I forgot her name right now).. plus she wrote me a letter and told me I'm an inspiration to her. How cool is that?!

A second Chris Hoy 4x6, a couple tennis players, and oddly enough, a Dane Cook 8x10 came back in one of my SASE's. I cannot remember sending him a letter... I know I sent an e-mail, and recieved an autograph that way, but I don't remember when I would have sent the LOR and SASE. Oh well, if anyone wants to trade for a non-personalized Dane Cook auto, let me know ;)
